Past School Projects

Book Cover Project

This cover I made for the book "Metamorphosis" (also seen on this site's home page) was done on Adobe Illustrator during my Fall 2019 semester at MCC. The prompt in my graphic design class was to make a book cover based on our interpretation of an excerpt from the book, where a man woke up in bed one morning to find he had turned into an insect. It's not my best project, but it was very fun to create in Illustrator. I loved designing the insect-ified man and objects in his room, and it really made me better at graphic design.

Magazine Cover Project

I also made this project on Illustrator, in the same class as the book cover to the left. This magazine cover was assigned to be made as a fashion cover with the name "deceit", for October 2019. I chose to go with male fashion, and I used a lot of techniques on Illustrator to put other elements around the background picture. It was a lot of fun to create and experiment with different fonts, colors, and effects in the software.

Silent Film Project

I made this video in a high school video class my senior year. It was a group project, and the assignment was to make a short video with a concept to it but with no sound. It was tricky, but we took footage that made it very clear what was going on in our video. The concept is that a group member is afraid of crossing the crosswalk, and everyone else had to find a way to get him across the street. This is one of my favorite and most well-done projects I have made on a computer, and it's fun to watch.
